KJB (they/them) began their career in the field of mental health in 2008 working with youth with concerning sexual behaviors. They went on to complete their internship at a luxury rehab focusing in substance use, sex addiction, codependency, and attachment. Their experience includes working with the seriously mentally ill, as well as incarcerated individuals. Most recently they have been working with unhoused individuals with high-risk substance use in an intensive outpatient setting. KJB has lived experience in dual diagnosis and ethically non-monogamous relationships. They identify as LGBTQ, neurodivergent, and kink/fetish aware/affirming, with a harm reduction approach. KJB utilizes a primarily analytic psychodynamic approach, including existential and narrative interventions. They have received training in the trauma-informed interventions of EMDR and Psychodrama processing. They enjoy working with people of all ages who identify as eccentric, alternative, or feel like an outsider.
