BIPOC Relating Session

Saturday, November 7th

5:00 pm

Room: Ballroom D

Have you ever been the only person of color in the room? At a conference? Or one of a handful? We understand how isolating and out of place that can leave one feeling. Midwest Love Fest wants to create an opportunity for you to connect with fellow POC who can relate to the culturally-specific challenges of being Polyamorous. This session is a safe space to discuss just that! Come network and meet others who can relate to your unique experience of this lovestyle.

Looking for your people? Midwest Love Fest Relating Sessions are dynamic, identity-centered gatherings where attendees can connect with others who share similar lived experiences while navigating non-monogamy. These facilitated sessions create space for meaningful connections and honest discussions about the unique triumphs and challenges of relating differently within that community. Attendees will build kinship, exchange resources, share perspectives, and find a stronger sense of belonging.

Leah began her journey into Polyamory in 2009 with the creation of her first Triad. She is active in the BDSM world as the Head of House of Wonderland which debuted “Colorful Kink!” in 2024. The Colorful Kink Society is a munch organization for BIPOC on the Kink scene which is based out of Dayton, OH. She has coordinated BIPOC Round Table discussions and presented on realities of Black FemDominance at several conferences. She has a true passion for helping organize People of Color in any lifestyle or community she joins. Her belief that representation matters and POC find a sense of belonging by finding one another in alternative lifestyles drives her to rally and help members of the community feel accepted and seen.
