Managing the Emotional Labor of Parenting While Polyamorous
Sunday, May 3rd | 10:30AM | Room: Mesa | 201
Parenting and polyamory are both emotionally intense experiences. This can often leave parents feeling stretched thin, exhausted and guilty- wanting to be emotionally present with everyone, and not having enough to go around. No matter what they choose, something gets neglected. This workshop provides practical tools and hands on practice for balancing everyone’s needs while still tending to your own. Participants will leave with more confidence to navigate competing needs so they can thrive in both parenting and polyamorous relationships.
1.
Understand your own needs and how to advocate for them without guilt.
2.
Understand boundaries as a gift of stability and predictability in relationships.
3.
Tools for open communication that honor your own needs as well as your partners’ and childrens.
